Sign up to manage your retirement with your online account. It’s easy to enroll. It only takes a few minutes!
- Go to kpers.org and click Member Account Login.
- Click New User.
- Enter your name, Social Security number and date of birth.
- Enter your email address. This is your User ID. Then create a password.
- Create your security profile. Choose an account image and a unique phrase.
- Set your security questions and answers.
- Register your computer. If you login from a non-registered computer or forget your password, you’ll have to answer security questions.
Online
- Login to your account.
- Click on your retirement plan
(KPERS, KP&F, Judges). - Click Personal Profile from the left side menu.
- You'll see your current contact info. Enter your new info and click Update.
- A pop-up box will ask if you're sure. Click OK.
- Changes take effect immediately in your online account and your KPERS record.
By Email
- Email [email protected]
- Include:
a. Name
b. Last four digits of your SSN
c. Phone number
d. Old address (what KPERS has on file)
e. New address
By Mail
- Complete a Change of Address form.
- Mail to KPERS, 611 S. Kansas Ave., Suite 100, Topeka, KS 66603-3803.
It’s important to keep your beneficiaries up to date. You can make changes anytime in your online account or send us a new Designation of Beneficiary form by mail.
- Login to your account.
- Click Beneficiaries, from the left side menu.
- Choose Click here to change your beneficiary in the orange box.
- Click Next to agree that your changes will replace all current designations.
- You'll see your current beneficiaries. If you need to, edit or delete any. To add a new beneficiary, click Add beneficiary. Be sure to click Save before moving on. Repeat these steps if you need to add more than one.
- Click Next to review your designation.
- Complete the signature page and click Submit.
- A confirmation appears. You can print a copy or save a PDF. And KPERS will mail you a confirmation letter.
You control how much tax you have withheld from your benefit payments. You can make changes in your online account or send us a Withholding Certificate. If you have questions, you may want to contact a tax advisor.
- Login to your account.
- Click your retirement plan (KPERS, KP&F, Judges).
- You'll see your most recent info.
- Choose Add/Update to make changes. You can also click No Withholding to avoid a withholding from your monthly benefit.
- You'll see your changes instantly.
