What about KP&F?
KP&F members need to have OGLI coverage on themselves to be eligible for spouse coverage.
Spouse coverage is a rider on existing coverage. KPERS members automatically have Basic Group Life Insurance and that makes them eligible. KP&F members don’t have Basic coverage.
The State of Kansas will offer spouse coverage. State agency open enrollment will be in February 2014. Materials will be available in January on kpers.org. Most communication regarding spouse coverage will be electronic although enrollment will be by paper form. More information to come.
Don’t Offer OGLI?
