2. Employer workshopsKPERS is holding employer workshops across the state this fall. We’ll cover new benefit information and provide a refresher on other topics. This year is especially important because of new Tier 2 benefits. Workshops begin September 29. Check www.kpers.org/damemos081309.htm for the most convenient location. Pre-registration required.

3. Letters starting soon for new membersIn August, KPERS will begin sending welcome letters to new members. As they arrive in your office, please pass them on to the member. In each letter, we’ll enclose a Benefits at a Glance publication. 4. Try enrollments on the employer web portalIf you haven’t already, give online member enrollment a try. You can complete enrollments on the portal instead of sending a paper Report of Member Status (KPERS-1) form. You can do this for new members, transfers and employees returning to payroll. Call us if you need any help and we’ll walk you through it.
