Minnesota Life Insurance Informational Meetings
The Kansas Public Employees Retirement System will have designated agent and member informational meetings throughout the State of Kansas regarding our new life insurance plan underwritten by Minnesota Life Insurance Company.
As a designated agent, you are a vital link in communicating with employees about Retirement System issues. Insurance can get complicated. We want to equip you with the tools and information to help your employees through this change and get the most from their benefits.
Presentation Topics
- One-time only open enrollment October 1 through October 31, 2003
- Increase in guaranteed issue amount only during open enrollment
- Ability to change coverage at any time with proof of good health
- Increase in maximum coverage
- Premium reduction
- Family status change
- Accelerated Death Benefit Rider-provides a benefit payment up to the full face amount instead of the death benefit for members with a life expectancy of 12 months or less
- Reporting changes
A representative from Minnesota Life will be at the meetings to answer any questions you may have regarding these changes.
Enclosed you will find a list of the different meeting locations scheduled throughout the State of Kansas for designated agents and members. Please forward the upcoming member meeting locations along with the member memo to your eligible employees as soon as possible.
