Effective July 1, 2003, Minnesota Life will become the Retirement System's new insurance carrier. Minnesota Life is sending you notices of the carrier change. You may have already received your supply. This notice also explains the new Accelerated Death Benefit and new premium rates for Optional Group Life Insurance. Both are effective July 1, 2003.
Please distribute this notice to your employees who are covered by the KPERS Group Life Insurance. In the near future, you will receive additional information regarding Optional Group Life Insurance and the upcoming fall open enrollment.
